How do I set up keychain if I don’t have access to the phone number I previously had?

If you lost access to the phone number that is associated with your Keychain (or apple id) and you want to CHANGE that setting to update the number to your new phone number, Keychain will send an authentication code to the phone number that you lost access to and are TRYING to change in the first place! Is there any way out of this mess other than having to call tech support?

Keychain works with your Apple ID not your phone number. Read here
