Printing Error: Undefined

I started getting the following error whenever I try printing.

ERROR: undefined

OFFENDING COMMAND: Sans

STACK:

/AAAAAD+ *Comic

/FontName

This error is what gets printed out on the printer. I have tried two different printers, a Konica and an HP.

The only changes that I know of is I upgraded to the most recent version of Mojave, 10.14.3.

I am trying to print a PDF, so I don't know what the font, let along Comic Sans would have to do with anything, but it is preventing me from printing.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Well good news/bad news. So restoring the fonts did not solve my issue. However I did find that this does seem to be isolated to just this one document for some odd reason. I tried printing other PDFs, and they worked with no issue.

Also, I was able to print the problem PDF from a Windows system and then scan it back to PDF (it was something I needed to sign). I tried printing the scanned version, and that one printed fine too. So it just seems to be this one original PDF. Very odd.

It's definitely a font error, but that's all that can be determined from that message. The document is likely to be malformed since Comic Sans should be listed as just that, not broken into two pieces the way it's shown.

One workaround might be to export it to another format: Preview's File menu > Export...

Even though it's already a PDF, you can try selecting Export as PDF... just to see what happens.

Perhaps Font Book's Restore fonts that came with your Mac using Font Book will help.
