SMC reset MacBook Pro 2018 TouchBar

When I press and hold Power Button (touchID) - system is booting after about 2 seconds - and when I hold it for 10 seconds - it is switching off / cancel loading macOS in the middle of doing this.

I've tried Shift Contro Option Power Button - but the same situation.

I've tried this with charger connected and disconnected

Thank You

Mac notebook computers with the T2 chip

Try this first:

  1. Choose Apple menu > Shut Down.
  2. After your Mac shuts down, press and hold its power button for 10 seconds.
  3. Release the power button, then wait a few seconds.
  4. Press the power button again to turn on your Mac.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Apple menu > Shut Down.
  2. After your Mac shuts down, press and hold the right Shift key, the left Option key, and the left Control key for 7 seconds. Then keep holding those keys while you press and hold the power button for another 7 seconds.
  3. Release all three keys and the power button, then wait a few seconds.
  4. Press the power button again to turn on your Mac.

That's what I did :)

And I pretty much know what I am doing - as I am using Macs since 2012 - and I had hundreds of them since then as doing simple repairs to them.

But for first time I got so new MacBook - and I was doing that SMC reset with many other MacBooks - even 2016 MacBook 12" - when holding that combination - nothing was happening (black screen) - and here - in this 2018 - it is booting right away to system (Apple Logo)

Other CRAZY thing is - holding right Shift Control Option - NOT even pressing power button - it triggers to boot system/switch on :/
