getting rid of Garage band music creation folder?
looked at earlier solution - doesn't any longer appear in current version - if I had realised, when buying my Apple, that system files took up 64 gig! I would have bought bigger hard drive!

Hi shezfestival,
Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like you want to make more room on your Mac's internal storage and would like to delete GarageBand.
You can find out how to delete Mac apps at this page: How to delete apps on your Mac.
If you just want to delete GarageBand projects, please see: GarageBand for Mac: Create, save, and delete projects.
If you'd like to create more space on your Mac's internal drive, follow these instructions: How to free up storage space on your Mac.
I hope that helps.
Have a fantastic day!

To find "Music Creations" items, look in the Library folders. There is a Library folder at the top level of your startup drive, another one in your user home folder. On my Mac with macOS 10.14 Mojave I am seeing the item here:
Look for similar items in the Library folder in your user home folder, e.gg.
/Users/yourName/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/
You will see "Music Creation" in the "System Information > Storage > Manage" display, if you have applications for music creation installed, either GarageBand, Logic Pro X, or MainStage. These applications can fill your storage quickly by installing large media files in the Library folders, for example Apple Loops, an Instrument Library, or lessons. On my MacBook Pro there are more than 80GB of Music Creation files, but unfortunately I need them for GarageBand and Logic Pro X. These apps will not use much storage, if you do not download the sound libraries. Initially they will install only a very basic set of sounds.
Music Creation is not a folder, so you will not find it in the Finder or Launchpad. It is a collection of Apple files related to creating music with a variety of apps including GarageBand. To reclaim the space they occupy, follow léonie's instructions.
They occupy more than 2 GB on my Mac, but even that is not very much space.
I really think it would help if you were to start from the beginning and explain the problem you want to solve. Unless you explain the "earlier solution" you pursued, no one will know what it was or what you're attempting to do.
didn't help at all!
does not appear to be an App.
It is under 'Music Creation' - take up nearly 2 gig!
can't locate either GarageBand OR Music Creation in 'finder' or in ' Launch pad'
