MFI Starkey Hearing Aids

I have Livio (not AI) Starkey hearing aids. I have tried to connect it to my phone and the Thrive app through the MFI setting, and it can connect, but whenever I am on my phone is switches constantly between Signal Boost (really really really loud) and Normal- this happens at least every minute and at most every three minutes.

Lately, though, it started switching when I am not using my phone.

Then it started trying to connect to the Bluetooth itself, not the MFI setting, and it was connecting and disconnecting, connecting and disconnecting.

I ended up up having to turn off Bluetooth because the connect-disconnect thing was muting the hearing aids, which is not helpful for hearing.

I consulted with my audiologist, who told me to turn Signal Boost off. The problem is, I can’t. It’s built in to my hearing aids.

I want to be able to listen to music with my hearind aids. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Hi Cat_01, actually Rgilbert is correct. I work with many brands of Bluetooth hearing aids but have extra expertise in Starkey aids. Your practitioner may not be familiar with the stream boost feature but if you push them to call a Starkey audiology while you are in the office, you can easily get this resolved. Any time you are concerned with your practitioner’s expertise on a certain matter you can ask for them to call in the reinforcements! It’s a fantastic resource for them and is free.
