Iphoto slideshow controls

How do I stop the controls bar from showing during my slideshows? It covers my photo titles.

Slideshow in Photos 7 for Maverick does not fill the screen Why is there a black border on top and bottom when I play a slideshow in Photos? I would expect it to fill the screen as completely as possible, and thus only leave space on the sides if the format dictates that. Instead it creates an ugly big black border all around the picture. Resolution of the photos are higher than the screen, so that's not it. And I'm asking about the regular slideshow option, where you select a bunch of pictures and 'Play slideshow' There's probably more options with the silly slideshow project feature, but that's way too cumbersome for just quickly wanting to look at a few photos fullscreen

Slideshow aspect ratio in Photos App Hi, When starting a slideshow in Photos (be it through albums, project, with or without scale to fit and no matter the theme) I always have black empty bars on the top and bottom of the slideshow. I've come to realise that, contrary to Finder for example, the Photos app run slideshows in 16:9 aspect ratio (standard widescreen format). However, my display in 2880x1800 so more like 16:10... My question is: can I change a setting so that the slideshow displays in proper fullscreen and not in 16:9 with black bars? Thanks for your help, much appreciated, I've been pulling my hair out over this :) Fred

You can't completely. If the cursor is moved they will show. If the arrow keys are used to advance the slides the controls will show. If the cursor is left alone the controls will fade away.
