Turn off Emergency location services

I accidentally triggered my SOS Emergency notification on my Apple Watch Series 4. When 911 called me to ask if it was an emergency I told them it was an accident and that I'm OK. Emergency notifcations were sent to my emergency contacts and I called them to let them know it was an accident, I'm OK, But they kept receiving updated to my emergency location for the next several hours.

My question is how do I stop these emergency text messages from sending when I am OK?

You can change your settings so that holding the side button won't call emergency services automatically:

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
  2. Tap Emergency SOS.
  3. Turn off Hold Side Button.
