Keyboard nudging clips left and right in iMovie

As referenced here, there is a quirk that still seems to be around in iMovie several years later (v10.1.10 to be exact). When I have a clip in the timeline above another clip (in this case I'm wanting to sync up footage taken with two cameras for a split screen sequence), I can nudge the top clip one frame LEFT by using opt-, [that's option-comma] but opt-. [opion-dot] doesn't nudge it right. It doesn't give an error beep -- it just does nothing. I've tried using all other combos I can think of, but nothing works.

Neither of the above are listed in the keyboard shortcuts so I don't know if opt-, working for nudging it left is just a legacy coincidence, but does anyone know if there is a way to nudge the clip to the right using a keyboard?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting that interesting nudge procedure. I passed it along to another poster that had a situation where he needed to nudge in small increments.

Apparently in older versions of iMovie, one could also press and hold down Option-dot (Caps Lock, then Option >) to

make the clip nudge right. However, other posters have confirmed that the nudge right procedure does not work any longer. I am told that Final Cut Pro has the capability to nudge right or left in very small increments.
