I have had to recovery OS X high Sierra from prior time machine image after update. What is happening?

It's the second time that I apply the last update package and I can not boot up the MBP, mid 2012, with High Sierra. Anyone else with the same problem?

Many have had the same problem, sometimes it's been found that it was trying to install Mojave... even on Macs that can't run Mojave, I'd disable Automatic Updates.
