Macbook Pro 2014 and "Replace Battery Soon" issue.
I have a mid 2014 MacBook Pro. About 6 months ago I got the 'replace battery soon' indicator. I bought a new battery from OWC and installed it myself. Worked fine until about four weeks later I noticed the battery icon on the menu bar had turned red. After that I got the "replace battery now" indicator.
I called OWC and they sent a replacement. I installed that and it's been work great for the last four months or so. Now I have the replace battery now indicator again.
I have gone through all the steps I can think of. SMC restore PRAM.
Behavior is I can charge the battery to 100%. But when using it on battery power the charge % never changes. It stays at 100% until it eventually just dies with no "low battery' warning.
I'm about to call OWC again since the battery is still under warranty but I suspect there is something going on with the Mac itself. Any ideas?
