Headphone replacement

Whats the best way to replace Apple earphones that weren’t bought at the Apple store? I would like to have them replaced as per the year warranty, but really don’t want to make a Genius Bar appointment to then be told they won’t do it as it’s quite out the way for me.


Also am I right in thinking there isn’t any option in the chat support on Apple.com to ask about accessories such as earphones?

Thanks! Do I need the serial number even if it’s just earphones? I have the receipt (which doesn’t have the serial number) but I didn’t keep the packaging obviously
