Casting 4K cideo files to Google Chromecast Ultra

I have a 2012 Macbook air with some 4K video files on my hard drive. Is there a way to cast these .mp4 4K video files to a Chromecast Ultra or Apple tv 4K, while retaining their native 4K resolution and not be downgraded to HD?

HDCP Dear apple folks I just bought a brand new Mac book pro .. And it can not play movies rented in your own imovie store (HDCP format.)???? I like you a lot .. but ..Come on!

As this is an Apple TV forum you won't really get comments on other hardware, but I would imagine the result is the same.
