2017 Jeep Cherokee/iPhone X Bluetooth problems.

Have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cheerokee and iPhone X. I have tried to get my music to play with Bluetooth and it takes a long time for system to recognize the phone and answer prompts. It skips around and won’t change songs. I have had dealership involved . No one seems to know what’s wrong. I had IPhone 7 before and had no problems. Don’t know what to do! Frustrated!

iPhone X, iOS 12

Hi, Vickie!

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. After reading your post, I understand that your iPhone X is behaving unexpectedly when paired with your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Specifically, it doesn't play music and will delay in responding, whereas your previous iPhone 7 did not experience the same results with the vehicle. I'm happy to help!

Based on what you've described, I would recommend using the steps outlined in the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod doesn't connect to or work in your car - Apple Support, specifically the "If you connect using Bluetooth" section.

I see you've already been working with your Jeep dealership, so if the steps in the article don't solve the issue, please reach out to Apple Support directly: Contact Apple Support.

Cheers!
