I think it's okay.
I can test my XS this evening and post the result if you are concerned. But this is how these small lenses and camera sensors work.
I will be back with the results. Would take a pic with the candles too.
It's currently 2:50 in the afternoon, so wait a little :)
I've noticed some lens glare earlier like this, but this seems pretty normal to me (the 2nd one is a still from a video).
Just got home and here's what I see. Nothing near that you've got.

Because there is no such thing on the iPhone 6. It is somehow strange for a new model.
Your results are good. I have to carry the phone on the diagnosis, because I do not like my highlights.
