how do I retrieve pictures from iPhoto?
I didn't realize iPhoto is no longer around and I had many pictures stored there. How do I retrieve the photos?

Look in your Applications folder for the iPhoto app. When you upgraded to 10.13 the Photos app was put in the Dock and the iPhoto app was removed from the Dock but will still be in the Applications folder. If that iPhoto app is version 9.6.1 you can still open the iPhoto library and user it.
Otherwise you can drag the iPhoto library onto the Photos icon in the Dock and convert it to the new Photos library

Thanks for the response. My last MAC crashed and I had to buy a new one. The new one doesn't have iPhoto in the App folder. Any suggestions on how to retrieve the pics?
Thanks
Do you have a backup copy of the iPhoto library? Open it with Photos and you'll be able to continue viewing and using your photos.
