Music Shuffle on Apple Watch (Series 3) not working

I know how to play my playlists on my cellular version of a series 3 apple watch. I do it regularly. I have 2 issues:

  1. I have to tell the watch every day I wear it that I prefer to shuffle. It doesn't remember my preference to shuffle and even though I haven't restarted the apple watch, it still won't shuffle unless I specifically tell it to (by selecting the small menu button on lower left off screen that shows the current playing song, waiting for the options menu to appear, then selecting either repeat, or shuffle or both).
  2. Very often, I cannot even bring up the shuffle./repeat option screen. when I select the small menu button on lower left of screen, I get a spinning circle, which looks like it is going to load the options screen, but times out and doesn't load. Many attempts doesn't solve the problem. Restarting the watch does not always help (sometimes it does).


It's a frustration that I'd like to solve. Any tips?

In regards to the first point, that is the Music app functioning normally. The second one sounds like typical loading. Could be due to poor cell connection or something else. Solving performance issues on Watch is tough, so the best you could do is turn it off and back on again or re-pair your Watch.
