Proceed to the Route

I have a new Apple iPhone, my first. It is fantastic. One small problem, I cannot get home. I have set my home location and pressed get directions, then a nice girl spoke to me. All was going very well until I took a wrong turn. Now the nice girl is telling me to proceed to the route. I have no idea where it is, I thought that was her job. I used to have a tom-tom that would say turn around when safe to do so. I understood that and it got me back on the correct route. Could you please help me. I am lost and it getting dark. Thanks Sravan, the description was light hearted however THE PROBLEM REAL. I have tested the maps feature on my iPhone several times. If I get off route I get the instruction ‘Return to the route’ I have had internet connection on all occasions. I am being very serious now. Is it a fault of the app as ‘return to the route’ is not possible if you do not know where the route is.

Surely I do not have to make an adjustment on the phone. The question therefore is do I have the settings wrong or is it a fault in the app. Yes, if I continue to drive, sometimes 1 to 2 miles, instructions will be corrected, however it seems a foolish and unhelpful instruction compared to a much older Tom Tom that immediately advised by ‘turn around when safe to do so’ that I was off route.

Your advice of follow the instruction of the nice girl IS IMPOSSIBLE if the instruction is ‘Return to the route’ if I do not know where the route is and where I made the incorrect turn. Kind Regards,

As long as you are connected to the internet, taking wrong turn should not worry you. Follow the instruction of the nice girl.

If you are offline then you are lost in the woods of Victoria.
