New 2018 13' MacBook Air screen has small dot-like scratches

They seem to appear out of nowhere. At first I thought they were crumbs or something that had gotten stuck to the screen, but since they're not coming off I don't think they are. I got my MacBook like 2 weeks ago and have been very careful with it. I take it to school with me and keep it in my bag when I'm not using it (I have a case on it and always keep it behind all my stuff so its away from any crumbs. This is very annoying, especially considering it is brand new. I don't want to take it back to the store because I got it exchanged from an iPad and don't want to seem weird. What do I do?

In the pic you can see some of the little dots. They aren't coming off.

Refer to How to clean your Apple products.

Excerpt:

"Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water only, then use it to clean the computer's screen."

Do you see those spots when the laptop is off? If you see any spots with the display dark, then it may be external. Try using LCD cleaner and a microfiber cloth to clean the display (spray the cloth, not the computer). If the spots are only visible while the display is lit, then you should take it to the Apple Store to be examined. I'm not sure what Apple's current rules are for pixel anomalies, but this could also be something else. It is hard to tell from the picture. If it is a display defect, then you want to address this during the warranty period.
