iPad Pro says it's storage is full despite the settings saying it's less than half full.

Before I start, I should tell you that I like to screen record and take screenshots a lot. Maybe that could probably be a cause of my problem, but I don't know yet. My iPad Pro 10.5 is a 64GB model by the way.

So when I was screen recording a game, I got an iPad storage full warning. I thought it was no big deal and went to the settings to check my storage. When I checked it, it told me that I had only used about 29GB of storage. I just thought that the screen recording deleted itself because of the storage becoming full so I didn't think much of it. But now whenever I try to record very short clips, I either get a storage warning or a 'recording stopped due to unknown error' warning. Installing a pretty large app like Grid Autosport (4GB), also brings the message.

I don't think it should have anything to do with my iCloud because I like to store things locally.

Anyways, I hope this has a fix! Cause I really want to get that game I mentioned!

Video recording takes up a lot of data storage space.

In the Settings app, under the Photos & Camera Setting, under Record Video, if you tap the gray disclosure triangle, you will see what a minute of video uses up for internal data space on your iPad.

You'll need to upload that video somewhere else, and delete it off of your iPad.

They try a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons, to see if you regain the storage space you used up making that screen recording.
