Cannot hear audio when import file in Final cut pro
I can hear the original file with audio perfectly fine but when I import the file I have no audio and cannot hear the clip.
MacBook, macOS 10.13
Try using Handbrake to convert it.

It looks like there’s only a bit of sound at the beginning. Open the file in the QT player and show what it says in the inspector window.
You can hear the original file where, using what hardware or software? In a camera? Somewhere else? You need to give the complete specs of the media, also show audio configuration in FCP for the clip.
I can hear the audio in QuickTime Player. I downloaded the clip from twitch. clip is about 30 secs long, 720p.
I don’t know why it doesn’t work. Was this converted when you opened it in QuickTime?
nope, I downloaded clip from twitch, opened in quicktime and nothing got converted.
