Stopping Hyperlinks in Received Mail

I have my Apple Mail, on my MacBook Pro, configured with a Telephone Number, Email and Website "Not in a Hyperlink." When I send it, the receiving person has a hyperlink for the Email and Website in the signature. I do NOT want the hyperlink there. I want my Signature to be plain text. I have pasted the "Intended" signature, and below that what the people see when they open the email. ALSO. . . When I send it, something causes the signature t shift the numbers down a line. I have spent hours on this today, and cannot figure it out. I have tried everything I can find. Hopefully someone has an answer. This is Killin' me! ! !

What is on the email before I send it:

O ***

E ***

W ***

What people see when they open the email

Jezreel, as you have discovered, the Mail app automatically converts typed URLs into active, clickable hyperlinks. You can confirm this for yourself by saving one of your new messages in draft form. When you go to look at it, you will see that it is now a blue active link. To my knowledge, there is nothing in Mail's prefs which will allow us to disable that feature.

Regarding your signatures not being properly aligned, I suggest that you create them in a regular text editor such as TextEdit or BBEdit, and then copy and paste them into the signature field in your settings. Do not use any tabs when you create them. I can verify that when I do it this way, and receive responses from my friends in which they have quoted me -- including my signature in the quote -- my signature is still fully aligned to the left, with no odd spaces or blank lines horizontally or vertically.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
