2 identical monitors, with same color profiles, displaying different colors...

Hello:

I'm running into a huge issue with my 2018 MacBook Pro (15"). I have 2 identical monitors (BenQ RL2455HM) and they're displaying different color settings. One of them, looks perfect, and the other one has distorted/incorrect colors. Both have the same exact settings in the monitor menu, and both are using the same color profile in System Preferences → Displays → Color. They're both using the same type of HDMI and I've tried reversing the dongles to no avail... Any recommendations? Note, I'm running macOS v.10.14.4.

Richard

UPDATE: I've tried to do the calibration thing on both monitors but it does absolutely nothing for color...

Hello Richard,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are having an issue with identical external monitors displaying different color settings when connected to your MacBook Pro. You can figure out if unexpected behavior is related to a user file or setting by trying to reproduce the issue from another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, logging in to it, and testing for the issue.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Next, use the steps in this Apple resource to use the ColorSync Utility app to help repair color profiles on your displays:

Cheers!
