frequent BSOD appleaudio.sys new Macbook pro

I have recently bought a new MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar 2.6GHz, i7/32GB/2TB SSD/Vega 20 4GB. When working under win10, I have had 8 BSOD within the last week pointing to AppleAudio.sys

I had a look at the driver and I guess I will not find or get an updated version, since the system has just been setup, everything should be up to date. Searching here in the forum and online has not yielded any similar problems, which is a bit strange. I have already reinstalled the bootcamp drivers, which didn't make any difference.

Any ideas?

I'm also running Win 10 Pro version 1809.

NIMRODofArnor, if you are on the new 1903 Windows version and have no need to go back to 1809, it would be cool if you could try to manually install the original Bootcamp Broadcom 802.11ac network adapter driver version 100.10.330.6. again (to fix the blue screen 0x00000082d) and then activate the apple audio device for a bit to see if the new 1903 windows version maybe makes a difference. I'm aware that the chances are very slim, but it might be worth testing.

If you do try it, please let us know if the appleaudio.sys BSODs continue on Windows 1903.

Called Apple tech support and didn't get any support because they don't support bootcamp and windows. Told me to call Microsoft.

This is normal and expected behavior from ATS.

Not very happy with how this being handled.

The only way I have reached BC Engineering, is via bug reports, otherwise you will spend fruitless hours and bang your head against the wall.

You are right, now paying more attention to this, I also had at least 2 or 3 unexpected shut downs after waking the screen from sleep. The touchbar lights up, the screen stays black and after a bit of waiting the system automatically reboots.

I'm now in touch with apple support, let's see if they can help.

Many thanks for your feedback Loner T.!

Yes I did do the Windows 10 update though the issues were occurring prior to that. I also did roll back the wireless Driver a couple months ago and that appeared to solve those issues temporarily. However, it is now happening AGAIN nearly every day. You are correct in your assumptions about my Macbook model. My graphics card is the Radeon 560x. Also, I was mistaken, the error code was 0x00000082d, but still, no documentation I can find on it. The poor support for boot camp is starting to become a liability for me.

(Edit)

After some further digging I actually do think it is the network driver causing the issue still. For some reason, it updated the driver automatically, and will no longer allow me to roll it back.

I don’t mind trying it, but is there a safe source to download the correct driver? I checked the actual Broadcom site and couldn’t locate any. I am not particularly keen on getting them from third-party sites. The only two I currently have available on my computer are 100.10.200.18 and 100.10.459.0, the former of which I rolled back to several days ago. Unfortunately, I just received another blue screen, but this time I could swear it was actually 0x000000827 so I believe I have been receiving both codes for what it’s worth.

As for the audio issue, I have never disabled my apple audio driver, since I believe I have only received a BSOD from that once and it was several months ago. Just thought I’d provide that information.
