Macbook Pro flashing folder with question mark

I have a Macbook Pro 2016 model. When I tried turning it on, all i see is a black screen with a flashing folder with a question mark on it. I pressed and held cmd + R to start in recovery mode, checked the disk utility and then reinstalled the OS, twice. Sometimes it will go away and I can use it just fine, and then randomly when it sleeps or when im not using it the folder will show up again. Its very frustrating. I dont know what else to do to get rid of the problem completely. There are other times i go into Recovery mode again but i am not able to reinstall the OS again because nothing shows up to select.

Hi,

Resetting NVRAM could solve the problem.

If it doesn't help, you'd better run Apple Diagnostics to check hardware if it's hardware related issue.
