App store updates on MacBook Pro

I recently got the newest MacBook Pro and have had 5 updates in the App Store (Keynote, Pages, Numbers, iMovie, and Garage Band) . When I try to update them a message pops up saying

"Update Unavailable with This Apple ID

This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."

I have no idea what this means and how to fix it. Please help!

It means that you haven't accepted them into your Apple ID. In the Mac App Store, click on your profile photo, find the list of purchases, and accept them.

It means you are using the wrong Apple ID in the iCloud preferences setup. It may also mean you purchased your computer second-hand or not from an authorized Apple vendor.

I may also mean you have a machine that had been returned to the store, but the original buyer failed to return it to factory state as required. If this is the problem, then see the following: Factory reset of your Mac - Apple Support.
