Mail From Indeed Still Getting Sent to Junk Folder

Job alerts from Indeed have been getting sent to the junk folder in my Mac mail gmail account. Under Rules in mail Preferences I set up a rule to allow mail from their email address to go to my inbox. It hasn't worked. I also set up a "whitelist" to allow the indeed email through. It hasn't worked there either. I'm not sure what to do to get the mail sent directly to my inbox instead of the Junk folder.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Add "Indeed" as a Contact in your Address Book.

Then make sure that every email address Indeed uses is listed in that Contact (in case they have used more than 1).

Inside of Mac Mail Preferences, under 'Junk Mail' setting, verify that the following preference is checked and active:

"The following types of messages are exempt from junk mail filtering" >> "Sender of message is in my Contacts"

hopefully that may help...

I solved the problem!! Setting up a filter on gmail was not the answer. I googled the issue and was casually reading a message board comment that stated to check if there was a third party app that had access to my gmail account. I followed the directions and realized that it was My.com that was causing the issue. I had been using it for email on my iPhone. I deleted the app and one other app I don't recall the name of, and haven't had the problem since.

thanks for your suggestions.

Greetings Cannoli38,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you are receiving emails that are going to the junk folder that should not be. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting to solve this issue. Even though there is a chance that you've tried these steps already, I would recommend you follow every step to make sure.

Change Junk Mail preferences in Mail on Mac

If the issue persists after confirming the settings above, then please make sure you have your Gmail settings configured as well: Mark or unmark Spam in Gmail

Take care.
