Audio Output in Final Cut Pro X

I have a Mac Pro running Final Cut Pro 10.4.6 connected to a sound craft signature 12 MTK running studio monitors out of the main outs. When I play music out of logic, youtube, iTunes, etc. the music is routed through my mixer and out through my studio monitors, BUT when I play audio through Final Cut, it won't play through my speakers. I've looked everywhere to try to change my audio output, but I can't find anything. The only place that would remotely let me change the audio output is under preferences---> Playback ---> A/V Output. Unfortunately, this is linking Audio and video together, so it only gives me options to choose my monitors. Is there any way to change audio and video separately - To route my audio out of my mixer and my video out of my monitor? Seems kind of silly that they wouldn't create a way to make that happen. Thanks!

Mac Pro, macOS 10.14

I was NOT talking about "AV Output".

I was talking about regular system audio output.

Are you saying that if you select your mixer in System Preferences->Sound->Output, then FCP X is not playing audio to it? That is very surprising.
