Running auto update on Microsoft Office suddenly hang

Running auto update on Microsoft Office suddenly hangs on update

I tried limiting the update to just only one application, e.g. Word, or Excel but it still hangs.

Downloads OK it hangs 2/3rds of the way through installation. Every time.

Restarted my 2018 15" MacBookPro and have tried with nothing else running.

I have tried the same on another macbookpro an it works fine on this MacBook Pro !

When I find the downloaded files in /private/var/folders/ and folder MSau_xxxx, the update run without a problem. But the downloaded files didn't start automatically.

Activity monitor shows no problems.
