If your AirPods case is flashing green

I've scoured the interwebs, can't find any solution to this problem. Only my right airpod works. Case and AirPods are charged. My AirPod case seems to show that it recognizes when I put my left AirPod in and out, because it will begin blinking amber when I put it in by itself, and stop blinking amber when I take it out. It even shows the correct animation (2 AirPods in case) when pairing, but when choosing AirPods for the music output, it only shows that I have one (right) airpod. No matter what I try, I cannot get my left airpod to fully sync.

Go into Settings on your phone and iPad, go to Bluetooth, and unpair the AirPods. Then open the case and hold the pairing button on the back until the white flashing light flashes amber a few times and goes back to flashing white. Release the button and close the case. Then, open the case near your iPhone and pair the AirPods.

This process will re-pair both AirPods with the charging case and resets their settings. Both AirPods should work after this.

My heart sank when I read though 2 pages of replies saying nobody could get this problem fixed without replacing the faulty AirPods. I let them run out of battery last night and plugged them into their case this morning. Went to use them this evening and found that the case was out of battery so they hadn’t been charging all day. Plugged them in and tried them and only the right one worked, GREAT! Saw the infamous flashing green light and this led me here :( guess it’s going to be a few weeks until I can enjoy music again.

All of this literally happened to me and the funny thing is that for short burst of time they did connect to my iPhone but the minute they are I the case connection never occurrs again I don’t know if it’s the case or the actual AirPod anymore I think i’m gonna he the AirPod replaced and i’m gonna buy a new case. Personally I think the second generation are more trouble some than the first generation and that’s shameful, what’s up apple ive never have had a problem with any of your product what happened here

Experienced exactly the same issue with my gen 2 airpods. I still remembered the day before my left airpod became dead, I completely used up the battery of both airpods. Then the second day left one did not work, whenever I took the left one out the charger was solid green, but when I put the left back or only put the left in the charger, it flashes green. Tried reset everytime and problem was never solved. Seriously apple... Can't believe there are so many people experiencing the same problem and there's still not an official solution to this.

Same happened to my 2nd generation airpods. Right bud doesn’t work. Flashing green light, not able to reset. Tried everything.

Btw happened also after both buds and case ran out of battery, after the charge one headphone was not working.

Anyway, seems to me that it should not happen with 170$ headphones with mediocre sound quality.

Now i have to wait weeks for replacement, which is ridiculous since it’s clear that it is exclusively their fault.

I hope this issue will get enough attention so they will explain themselves publicly and will accept their well deserved stock drop.

I have the same problem, synonymous with thousands(i'm guessing)other people. Apple did not have the best reputation in my books before buying their product, and they cease to surprise me. It's so sad to see this happen on the day Jaden Smith's new album dropped. Apple truly neglects the people that pay good money for their products, it's sad that a company like this spends more time on making youtube advertisements about people jumping than actually addressing a problem. you let me down :(
