If your AirPods case is flashing green

I've scoured the interwebs, can't find any solution to this problem. Only my right airpod works. Case and AirPods are charged. My AirPod case seems to show that it recognizes when I put my left AirPod in and out, because it will begin blinking amber when I put it in by itself, and stop blinking amber when I take it out. It even shows the correct animation (2 AirPods in case) when pairing, but when choosing AirPods for the music output, it only shows that I have one (right) airpod. No matter what I try, I cannot get my left airpod to fully sync.

Same for me. I’ve had my 2nd gen AirPods for 2 months and today they stopped working. I accidentally unpaired my AirPods so I went to pair them back but the animation that pops up on your phone when you flip the lid open didn’t show up so I looked at the led light and it was flashing green with both air pods in the case so I press the reset button down for 15 secs and it stayed solid white, no amber. My AirPods won’t reset!! My phone is up to date, the case and AirPods are fully charged, I cleaned the AirPods and case but I have a flashing green light still when I pop my case open wth? I don’t understand how they have answers for every color led light but not for “flashing green light”! $170 down the drain

My heart sank when I read though 2 pages of replies saying nobody could get this problem fixed without replacing the faulty AirPods. I let them run out of battery last night and plugged them into their case this morning. Went to use them this evening and found that the case was out of battery so they hadn’t been charging all day. Plugged them in and tried them and only the right one worked, GREAT! Saw the infamous flashing green light and this led me here :( guess it’s going to be a few weeks until I can enjoy music again.

I've had this issue with my right AirPod, twice!! First time was about 2 weeks after purchasing them with some light use in April, got a full replacement from the store. The same thing has now happened, flashing green light when the AirPod is in. Non of the usual steps work, getting replacement AirPod sent from Apple. Doesn't seem to be the case itself as the wifes AirPods are fine in my case. Third time lucky hopefully!

Experienced exactly the same issue with my gen 2 airpods. I still remembered the day before my left airpod became dead, I completely used up the battery of both airpods. Then the second day left one did not work, whenever I took the left one out the charger was solid green, but when I put the left back or only put the left in the charger, it flashes green. Tried reset everytime and problem was never solved. Seriously apple... Can't believe there are so many people experiencing the same problem and there's still not an official solution to this.

I have the same problem, synonymous with thousands(i'm guessing)other people. Apple did not have the best reputation in my books before buying their product, and they cease to surprise me. It's so sad to see this happen on the day Jaden Smith's new album dropped. Apple truly neglects the people that pay good money for their products, it's sad that a company like this spends more time on making youtube advertisements about people jumping than actually addressing a problem. you let me down :(

I tried what seemed like everything- pairing and unpairing, cleaning the case and airpod itself, forgetting device and reconnecting. I never got the amber light when reconnecting. I was scared i would have to repurchase my left airpod as my warranty was up. I FINALLY fixed it by putting both airpods in, clicking forget device under bluetooth, leaving the airpods untouched for a few minutes, and then pairing them to my phone. It registered both airpods when, previously, my left airpod had a red exclamation mark. Now, it works!

Having the same issue as above. Haven’t been able to use my new AirPods for 3 weeks. Left one doesn’t register. Right works fine. If I have both in the case it flashes green. Left in alone it flashes amber. I have tried every pairing and reset method listed. Apple store to get them to fix it is. Disappointed Apple is not stepping in on this one.

I’ve had this problem TWICE now, both with brand new 2nd gen AirPods (Lightning charging case). It seems to have been the left one on both occasions (although I can’t be sure). The first one broke after just a few months. After a few weeks of scouting forums with no luck I resorted to a Genius appointment (2 hour return drive so hardly convenient for me). They didn’t have a replacement left AirPod so they gave me a brand new set there and then. I wasn’t going to leave without a replacement set.

But now the left one has gone on these ones!!! Again they’re barely a month or two old.

I don’t understand why Apple has no answer to this and don’t even reference flashing green as an error. Clearly from this thread and some articles I’ve found it’s a common issue. It feels like a simple software issue but if you can’t reset them what can you do???
