Logic Pro X sound Library download keeps failing

Hey I know this isn't the first post of this kind, but I'm wondering if anyone has solved the problem. I'm trying to move to a new computer, but the download of logics extensive library continues to fail very few minutes. And then while it's actually downloading, it's going very slowly, saying it will be 100+ hours.

I'm worried this might be indicative to a problem with my new imac. I've checked my download speeds using an online app and they're staying strong at 60mgps per second, which should get this done in 10 hours or so.

Any thoughts are welcome.

This is a known issue with the sound library's download server that Apple is currently investigating. I know, because yesterday morning I spent 30 minutes troubleshooting with their "Pro Apps Team" for this very issue. I bought a new iMac w/Logic Pro X yesterday, and have been having the exact same download problem. I called, and after some investigation they let me know that this is (now) a known server issue that they're working to resolve.


The advice I was given was to try again over the next day or two--but don't try to download the entire library. Instead, try first downloading something small (a single, smaller instrument library less than... say... 1 GB). She said that I'll know the issue was resolved if the download happens quickly, and if it does, we're in the clear to download the rest of the files.


It's a bummer-- I was hoping to dig into Logic this weekend, but at least I know they're aware and working on it.

Hi!


I have the same problems after setting up my iMac Pro on Saturday: Downloading the content of the sound library is extremly slow, small data packets are coming in regulary but with long breaks in between.

I've tried nearly everything (and I'm not a novice in networking computing) - for me it seems, that there're massive problems on Apple Servers at the moment in delivering the content.

By the way: Over in the Logic Pro Help Forum is another user with the same problems ...
