iTunes Windows 10 only plays through speakers and not headphones: Solved!

Every other app played through my headphones when I plugged in but iTunes only played through my laptop speakers.

Fixed by going to Edit, Preferences, Playback, Play Audio Using: Direct Sound instead of Windows Audio Session.

cannot hear sound in iTunes on Windows 10 machine I cannot hear sound from speakers using iTunes on a Windows 10 machines. I CAN hear sound from the same song, if I go to the drive where the song is and play with Windows Media Player or Groove Music, so I know the speakers are OK. I have tried in iTunes to to Edit / Preferences / PlayBack / Play Audio Using: Direct Sound (have also tried Windows Audio Session) - but nothing works. I have quit iTunes and restarted after trying these. I have tried to logout of my iTunes account, and then shut down, restart and log back in. I have rebooted my computer several times. Help!

Itunes PC audio issues Hello everyone, I recently downloaded the latest version of itunes on my PC. I have some issues with audio, whenever I play music from my library it works fine but if I try to play a movie or TV show there is no sound playing at all. All my computer settings in terms of audio are full including Itunes but the problem still persists despite changing my playback preferences to "Direct sound". Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
