My podcasts speech is too fast on my I pad
The speech on all podcasts is way too fast and I can't fix it.

Perhaps you have the "play fast" control turned on.
In the Podcasts app, go to the full size Now Playing screen. Just below the play controls, you will see a number with an x beside it:
The 2x means that the Podcast is set to play at two times normal speed. Tap the icon to change it to 1x.
The speed cycles between:
1x
1½x
2x
½x
back to 1x.
