Switch cursor between multiple displays with hotkey

Can I set a hotkey to switch between multiple monitors? I have single display set up and no mirroring. So the mission control shortcuts don't work for me.

I found this solution a couple years ago - it requires BetterTouchTool which I couldn't live without on my MacBook. In fact, thanks to BTT I wound up buying a trackpad for my desktop too.

  1. Go to BetterTouchTool Preferences => Keyboard.
  2. Click Add New Shortcut or Key Sequence button.
  3. Assign new Keyboard Shortcut from Click to record shortcut
  4. for example, for Monitor-1 Control+Shift+1, for Monitor-2 Control+Shift+2 etc.
  5. Then from Trigger Predefined Action dropdown menu, select
  6. Other Mouse Actions => Move Mouse To Position
  7. A modal window will appear to capture your desired mouse position. Simply take your cursor to the desired position of a Monitor and Press Space to capture the position. Now Save the position in the Modal Window.
  8. Repeat 2 to 5 for all your Monitors.

hey dwb, I found that solution

https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/268697/how-to-quickly-move-mouse-cursor-between-monitors

and resolved the immediate issue.

But I was hoping in 2.5 years Apple has come up with a better solution.

Unfortunately not! I chatted with Apple support today and they literally asked me to use third party solutions.

This must be a common issue. I am surprised they are not adding a new feature.

I have a large display on my desktop and I keep lots of windows open. So I have bindings for the corners and middle top bottom right and left with the FN key modifier to snap windows to the corners, sides, top and bottom of the display. I also use it to switch desktops.

Check out the community - there’s a button in the bottom left corner. Lots of people have posted entire presets. Lots of ideas there.
