Apple Music on Macbook Pro can't connect to Apple TV via Airplay

I tried several times to stream music from Apple Music + on MacBook Pro via Airplay to my Apple TV without success. I receive a prompt to enter the Airplay code which is displayed on my TV screen. Each time I enter the proper code, there is a lag of about a minute and then the connection fails. I am running Mohave 10.14.4 and TV OS 12.2.1. Has anyone else run into this?

When attempting to use AirPlay to listen to my iTunes library on my living room stereo I get no sound When attempting to use Airplay to listen to my iTunes library on my living room stereo I get no sound. The Apple TV is functioning, can stream from an IOS device and play content from Apps. Just no music from the Mac. Airplay Airplay on my devices has been a disaster lately running latest software. Apple TV 4K, MacBook Pro (16-inch 2021) running 12.3.1. Audio and video keeps skipping in and out.
