4th generation Apple TV repeatedly times out and loses connection without actually losing the network

I have been troubleshooting this Apple TV 4th generation issue for months now. None of my other streaming devices, including an apple TV 3rd Gen are having this issue; seems to be only the 4th gen TV. I’ve got it connected to the 5 Ghz network, the DNS is set to automatic and still, the issue persists. Based on the less than ideal location Google fiber placed the fiber jack (front hallway), it’s not so easy to just plug a direct line in, even just to test. It’s also set up to automatically update, so it’s updated to the most recent OS.

Every time the timeout happens I have to unplug the apv and reset. The frustration is at times I can’t even get through a movie without it timing out several times.

Apple TV 4, tvOS 12
