for my MacBook Pro laptop, Bluetooth turns on at startup and disables my laptop keyboard and track pad, rendering my laptop inoperable. How can I turn Bluetooth off without use of keyboard and trackpad?

Just to make sure I understood correctly - your built in keyboard and trackpad do not work?
As they do not have anything to do with Bluetooth, I'm not sure how this is happening. Please post back to make sure there is no miscommunication here.
You can turn off Bluetooth in System Preferences.
Have you tried turning off bluetooth?
I'm still not sure why your built in keyboard would not work. Bluetooth will always search for bluetooth devices, but it does not usually interfere with any built in functions.
thanks but the caps lock key recommendation did not work. Looks like others have reported that this is not a solution. Do you have another suggestion?
you could always boot in recovery mode but the people at this link
say they had the same problem and fixed it by rebooting and pressing the caps lock key when the loading bar appeared
you could try connecting an actual working bluetooth keyboard and then change the system settings under , system preferences, keyboard, input sources
No. My trackpad and keyboard are not accessible because the laptop is looking for Bluetooth connections and because I am using a laptop I don’t have Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad
