This is a generic error that your computer can not connect to the server for unknown reasons.

This is a wireless Network, slow internet speed can be an issue. Try a different Network, verify you r download speed. Try again latter.

You have Recovery locally, command R

Internet Recovery option command R

Recovery http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718

If you have a boot clone

or

Time Maqchine backuo

or

Bootable USB installer

all these you can reinstall the macOS as an alternative. Rebooting holding the option key, will reveal the Disk Manger to choose alternate boot disk.

Boot clone https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-10081

How to use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201250

Use DiskUtility Restore feature https://support.apple.com/guide/disk-utility/restore-a-disk-dskutl14062/mac

The Apple store can also help if it is convenient for you.
