I am very frustrated that I want to buy films and music that are on the iTunes store but then it tells me I cant because I live in the UK.
I do not understand why this is a problem when its all digital?
Does anyone know why I can not buy them?

Yes, the same applies. The rights holders for a movie in the UK might not choose to release through iTunes while still selling via DVD or negotiating fees for the item to show on terrestrial or streaming broadcast services.

Different companies hold the distribution rights in different regions, and the interested parties tend to want to control release dates so as not to conflict with the roll out to cinemas, which again are staged across different countries.
