Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I understand that you received an email regarding your account recovery request, and you’re wanting to know the status. I’ll be happy to provide you with some information that should help. 


It looks like you’ll receive a text or call when your account is ready to recover, and I recommend checking the website for the updated status of your request. Just go to the iForgot website, and enter your Apple ID.

The email confirmation should contain the date and time of when you can expect to regain access. When the wait period is over, that’s when Apple sends you a text or automated phone call with instructions to regain access to your account. This website goes into more detail: Recover your Apple ID when you can’t reset your password


I recommend contacting Apple directly if further help is needed: Contact Apple Support
