iphoto project

I have order many iphoto books in the past, however its not working this time. This is the message I get:

"Ordering is no longer available for this version of Photos. Upgrade to the latest version before ordering". Does anyone know if there is a way of updating my iphoto in order to place the order?

Thanks.

Apple does no longer offer any print services. The last orders had to be placed by September 30, 2018. As your book is ready to be printed, save your finished book as a PDF file and send it to a service that can print photo books from PDF files.

It will depend on the country you are in, which service will be best for you.

To save your finished PDF book as a PDF file see:(https://web.archive.org/web/20170614002828/https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201504 or Check and review a project before you order using Photos on Mac - Apple Support)

Alternately, upgrade your Mac to High Sierra or Mojave. Then you can create books using project extensions in Photos and use the project extension to order your book. But your current book may not be migrated exactly as you created it, when you upgrade to a newer system with project extensions. It will be safer to have your book printed from the PDF before you upgrade to a newer system and burn the bridges. After the upgrade you will not be able to use the current tools to format books, calendars , and cards at all.
