HEIC converted photos to Facebook or website

I used Apowersoft HEIC converter to convert photos taken on iPhone to jpg on my desktop. When I load those converted photos to Facebook or my website, the HEIC icon appears over each photo. How I do prevent that so that clean photos can be loaded

always downloads as HEIC. What can I do to have them download as JPEG? When I download photos from icloud, the photos are .HEIC. Is there a way to download as jpeg?

Heic? Why are my photos being saved as Heic? I need them to be jpeg to do anything with them, ie export and make photo books. Please help!

That particular program is a paid app and it will had the watermark to each photo you convert unless you actually pay for the app and login to your account before using it.
