Heat and battery on i5 MBPro Touch 13
I recently purchased a MBPro 13" i5 with 8GB memory. I have noticed that whether I use it on a desk or not, it gets very hot, such that the keys are hot to the touch. As I am typing, the fans have just gone off. I am running Pages, about 5 Safari tabs, and two Chrome windows. I have to do a lot of research for classes, os I always have a lot of tabs open.
I have also noticed that the battery is draining a lot quicker than it did in the first week that I had it. I had purchased a Macbook Air first, then decided to get the MBPro but under heavier use, the Air performed better-didn't get as hot and the battery lasted longer. I didn't keep the Air because the screen was a little too dull and dim. I'm not sure that I'm going to keep this either. I could exchange this for one with more memory but I don't know if that would help.
