Macbook Pro screen oversaturated
Hello,
I am currently using a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) running Mojave 10.14.5
Currently my screen is appearing oversaturated. Colors are, overall blown out with whites and other colors appearing over saturated and grays having a distinct pinkish hue. This is most noticeable on white pages and in a slight pink hue to the drop shadows on windows, but it is not strictly limited to the reds. The problem does go away if I reduce the angle of my screen to ~60 degrees, but obviously that isn't helpful for everyday use.
I have so far tried enabling and then disabling Night Shift (which I don't use, but I saw several users indicate that even if it's not on, turning it on and off again might help,) reset the SMC, the NVRAM/PRAM, and finally reinstalling Mojave, none of which have fixed the problem. The problem also does not extend to any connected external screens. I have made an appointment with an apple authorized store for service, and will report back if I find out anything so as to maybe be helpful to someone else having this problem. The biggest change I made just prior (by a few weeks) to the problem was using Night Mode, so I have disabled Night Mode just in case.
In a quick Google I found a couple of other people who seemed to have this problem, but no follow ups indicating the problem was fixed. Anyone have any insight? Is this potentially a hardware issue? The connection to the angle of the screen seems telling to me, but I'm certainly not an expert.
