removing document from desktop

I have a document that cannot be trashed because of error code -43. How do I get rid of the document?

Recovering Deleted files I accidentally deleted multiple files from my desktop folder. I first used the UNDO option and nothing happened. Then I went to trash and selected the PUT BACK option and the files I selected to put back completely disappeared from the trash after a error popped up saying id=6571367.9699936 error code -36.

Thank you. That worked. I now can see my screen shots and pdfs too, which had previously disappeared.
