invalid sim

i have bought this phone from a friend in Philippines and i took this in saudi arabia, i tried to use my sim here in the kingdom but its not working its invalid, how to unlock the sim.

Contact your friend in the Philippines, and have him get it unlocked from the cellular provider there.

As stedman1 said, it could be region or cellular operator locked device.
