I would like to change the background colour of the text bubbles in Messages on my MacBook Air. The colours are really bright, and they cause eye strain in some lights. Also white text on grey background is an accessibility issue for the visually impaired (not all of whom need to switch over to an Accessibility mode - they just want to choose an appropriate colour!)

Okay, so to be clear: the answer is no. There is no way for a Mac user to have green and purple text bubbles instead of grey and blue ones. Or to use a serif font instead of a sans serif. Is that correct?
