Cant delete Dropbox from my iMac, says it's still open

I am trying to delete the Dropbox from my iMac so i can reinstall it, but I cant delete it because it says it's still open. I tried the suggestion of deleting the Plugins, but it still says it is open. What can I do?

I downloaded Dropbox in my MacBook Pro but it won't open I've downloaded Dropbox to my Macbook Pro that I recently bought but nothing happens when I click on it. I thought a window should appear and then you move it to the folder to install? The Dropbox file is downloaded to the Downloads carousel but when I click on it nothing happens. Should installing a program like this really be so difficult on a Mac? I thought Apple's motto was that it "just works"? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
