MacBook Air Spillage

I opened a liter of club soda a foot away from my MacBook Air and it sprayed some of it on to my keyboard. I immediately wiped it and flipped it upside down, but I’m worried drops seeped through the keyboard. I shut it off and had it upside down for 40 minutes and turned it back on and it’s working now. Should I be worried that it won’t work in the future or is it more likely that it will stay working as is?

If it was just minimal splashed drops, then the electronics are probably safe. There is mylar covering beneath the keyboard which helps to restrict liquids to the keyboard area. If any drops of liquid got between the keys, then it might make the keys stick. If a drop of liquid just happens to hit the key switch, then it could cause a key or keys to become inoperative, but there is nothing to do to prevent this now and it probably won't hurt the other components. If the liquid hit the rear vents, then there is a chance it could have hit the edge of the Logic Board.

Personally I think the laptop will be alright if drops of liquid only hit the keys, but there are no guarantees. Keep in mind this is my opinion from what I've personally seen on liquid damaged laptops I've repaired.
