Spill + Mac Air

So I spilled a small amount of diet soda on my MacBook Air. It was open, liquid got on the keyboard. I immediately grabbed the laptop, flipped it upside down, and wiped it off. It seems to be working fine, I don't notice anything wrong with it. Do I need to get it checked out?

Yes, and have it checked ASAP. Turn it off and disconnect the charger. Do not use the computer until it has been repaired.
